Homeowners engage contractors and subcontractors to build their dream home.  Homeowners are forced to rely on the integrity, honesty and experience of all parties involved in the build.

The reality is that homeowners sit on one side of the table and everyone else sits on the other. 

 

Who looses and who benefits when the project costs more, takes longer, is more involved and increases in scope? Typically not the homeowner.

This is where Amicus fits in.  We provide homeowners representation, advice, knowledge and experience, while sitting on the same side of the table as them.  Our structure does not benefit from scope creep, time delays and cost overruns.  We want the same as the homeowner: successful, on time, on budget construction.  We will communicate with the owners to understand their needs and expectations.  We will coordinate with contractors to ensure that they are providing the skillset, services and products they are contracted to do.  We use our extensive experience in the construction industry to determine realistic goals and expectations. We communicate with owners to show what they can expect from the contractors.  We observe and record progress and provide up to date budget and time-frame analysis. We record and chart changes, help the homeowner understand the consequences of the changes and oversee the work. 

 

We get in the dirt with the contractor and provide homeowners with real time onsite observations. We have the capability and experience to make time-sensitive decisions and know when to approach the specialist team members.  We will be you advocate, your expert, your sounding block and your partner.
